Wabash Ave., zip 53223-2608.==Here's an update on my life:== I graduated UW-Madison in 1971 majoring in elementary education. I tried my hand at teaching 3rd grade but gave it up after two years.==The next 18 years I worked as a sales representative for a wholesale distributor.==In 1981 I married Andrea Kuhnmuench (Dominican H.S. Â65; Michigan State U. Â70). Andrea has been a teacher of Transcendental Meditation (TM) since 1973. I've been a TM'er since 1969 and practice it twice a day to enjoy deep rest resulting in stress-reduction, increased energy and clearer thinking.==== In 1992 I left sales to successfully campaign for a seat in the Wisconsin legislature. Community and political involvement continued in an off and on fashion since then.==I am now serving my 5th two-year term as a Democrat representing the 23rd Assembly District which includes Brown Deer, most of Glendale, south-central Mequon and the far northwest side of Milwaukee. Meeting the challenge of public service is gratifying and I continue to work at it full-time.===
For exercise I enjoy running 2 or 3 times a week and will admit that I'm not as fast as I was 15 years ago. I've run four marathons (26.2 miles). Milwaukee Lakefront Marathon in '97 & '99, Green Bay Marathon, '01 and Twin Cities Marathon, '01. Another great source of exercise is the continuous walking door to door activity I engage in to visit voters. I've knocked on over 50,000 doors in my career.==My brother Tom (Tosa West Â68) is an attorney and lives in Whitefish Bay. My sister Ann (Tosa West Â76) is a self-employed accountant and lives in the family homestead in Wauwatosa.
